Allie is an independent visual artist and amateur naturalist working in painting, bookmaking, illustration, and collage. Our connectedness to the natural world, radical empathy, and examination of maternal subjectivity are common themes in Allie’s practice as an artist.
In the past, Allie has worked for institutions such as Smithsonian’s National Postal Museum, Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, all of which have enriched her personal practice and provided an awareness of historical context.
Allie grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and now lives and works in Chicago.
